Calibration that fits in a working day
Thermspot replaces repeated print-scan-adjust cycles with a measured temperature map of your build plate. We offer it as a calibration service for industrial SLS and SLM printers.

Figures for “today” describe a large industrial SLS printer and are repeated about every three months.
See where the plate is hot and cold
Instead of estimating from test parts, you work from a measurement of the whole surface. In one of our tests the coldest and hottest point on the same plate were 14.4 °C apart.
Our accuracy is ±0.1 to ±0.5 °C, depending on the temperature range. A thermal camera typically reaches about ±2 °C.
How the service works
We measure on site and deliver the right settings. Every printer, about every three months.
You tell us about your machines
Which SLS or SLM printers you run, and how you calibrate them today.
We measure on site
We come to your machine and measure the temperature across the build plate.
You get the right settings
One engineer, about four hours.
We repeat when it is due
Calibration comes back every few months, so it works best as a recurring service.
Less waste, lower emissions
Less test printing means less powder and less electricity, so the low-carbon way is also the cheaper way.
- More than €1M in additional production value per year for a factory with eight printers.
- About 15 tonnes less CO₂ per year for the same factory.
Our calculation, to be confirmed in pilots.
